I started attending Mount Union Wesleyan Church through the youth group around 2006, where I met my wife Brittany. After graduating from Mount Union Area High School I began attending Lancaster Bible College where I majored in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical studies. I left LBC in late 2013 when I got married and moved back home to Huntingdon County.
I currently work as a shift lead at Huntingdon Fiberglass. I enjoy hunting, working with my hands and spending time with my family. Around 2018/2019 I began helping with youth group and I have enjoyed every moment of it. My wife and I have been married since 2013 and we have three children, two girls who we adopted into our family and a son.
Carl & Mona Harman started attending the MU Wesleyan church in 1993. This was the turning point in their lives where they connected with Jesus and wanted to serve and follow Him wholeheartedly. They have both been involved in multiple ministries over the years and are very passionate about children and youth ministries and sharing Jesus with everyone.
Carl has served on the board in several positions and has been involved in various work projects and community outreach events. He started working with youth in 2005, and led a couple of mission trips to Cleveland and several trips to Youth events in Johnstown, Pittsburgh and Maryland. He loves connecting with the teenagers, as well as having fun and sharing Jesus with them. He also likes to hike, fish, kayak and hunt.
Mona has served in the church in many positions over the years. She was a helper in Clubhouse for a few years, then led Clubhouse for 10 years before transitioning to help Carl in the Youth ministry where she is currently assisting and leading. She has been the VBS director for over twenty years, a ministry where she and Carl have been sharing and working together running a day and night VBS camp. She has volunteered in the community, and at her daughter’s school where she managed Monday lunches. She has also assisted at the local food bank. In addition to youth and VBS, Mona volunteers at MU Wesleyan by co-hosting the Ladies luncheon once a month, teaching Sunday School and Junior church and helping with Backyard Club. She loves flowers, gardening, baking, cooking, planning, painting, mowing grass and taking care of their home.
